What an affiliate link is
An affiliate link carries a tracking code. If you click it and then make a purchase, the retailer knows the visit came from us and pays us a percentage of the sale. The price you pay is identical to the price you would pay going direct.
Why we disclose this
United States Federal Trade Commission guidelines on endorsements and testimonials, 16 CFR Part 255, require clear disclosure of material connections between a publisher and the products it recommends. This page, along with notices placed near affiliate links, is how we meet that obligation.
